April is Translation Month - And There's A Giveaway

As promised, I have returned to the world of blogging and am determined to make this blog more interesting, updated and pampered. So, you can understand my excitement when, having just made that announcement, my attention was drawn to the Translation Month Event hosted on the Mostly Reading YA blog.

On this blog, the month of April has been dedicated to celebrating translated literature of all kinds, and Mostly Reading YA has invited all bloggers to take part. Not only are you welcome to guest review some books on the blog, but you can also enter the Translation Month Contest and Giveaway. As part of this contest bloggers are encouraged to read, review and post on their own blogs translated books they have read in March and April. For each review you do, you gain an entry to the contest. The more entries, the more chances of winning the giveaway!

It is almost as though fate brought this to my attention. As a Foreign Language graduate, translated literature is right up my street and something I have already gained an interest in. In addition, some of the titles on Mostly Reading YA's list of translated books include amazing authors that I adore, such as Jostein Gaarder and Carlos Ruiz Zafon. AND us bloggers are able to review other books not on that list and request that they be added. It's a win, win, win!

It will be interesting to see what books I end up reading as part of this event, seeing as most of my reading material lately has been crime or YA. I have always read widely across genres and it will be fun to show that variation on this blog; I think this contest is precisely the way to go.

Oh, and did I mention the button (see below).

So, here's another challenge for me. No turning back now, it's full throttle ahead for this Butterfly.
